TOTO Project - IL PLACIDO RISANO Fine Dining Restaurant with a 16th century twist

Renowned decorative artist Ivo Kisovec had the main say in the renovation , and he dedicated it to Riga Square . The document, which was
created during the time of Charlemagne , could therefore be said to reflect the Middle Ages . There are many reliefs, paintings, massive
columns, there is a mosaic on the floor. In the middle of the room there is a round table with ten chairs, which symbolizes the aforementioned
choir. This is a table for agreement, for meetings.Dreams are becoming reality - Placito Risano is getting its final look. It is a temple of well-being, which is dedicated to a historical event -
the Riga Choir - and is also decorated in the spirit of that time. Anyone who enters will get the feeling of stepping into the Middle Ages.
The Rižane Valley, which offers wonderful experiences in nature, has been refined and made accessible to both locals and tourists. During the
renovation, the designers were guided by the mindset that they wanted to offer the guest an experience of all the senses in this space. They
want the time spent visiting to be filled with all the senses.
The space, which is in the shape of a hexagon, is mostly closed with glass. In the part where the wall is made of brick, there is a painting
depicting the Riga Choir . The dimensions of the room remained the same as before the renovation. Chairs and tables are made by the hands
of Uroš Šivica, an artist who works in a wooden studio in Rakitna near Krim and uses the plans of the well-known Slovenian architect Jože
Plečnik for his products .The restaurant took the name honoring this event as the first and most influential arbitration agreement in history for the surrounding area.
The magical and mystical atmosphere of that historic event is now re-proposed in a refined restaurant where you can enjoy a unique culinary
experience. A menu full of courses that, through the dishes created by chef Jure Dretnik, draws inspiration from the Istrian gastronomic history,
retracing its traditions to create tasty dishes prepared with the rich and unique raw ingredients of this territory.

They connected with several artists of different fields. Among them is the renowned Celje artist Bojana Križanec , who designed special plates
just for this occasion. Together, they devoted themselves to the selection of color nuances that ennoble the appearance of the food served.
They also collaborate with the blacksmith Tilno Šumah , who will make unique accessories that will enrich the entire experience.
They strive to have as many handmade pieces of equipment as possible, because they want each thing to be coordinated into a
finished whole. This will also highlight the journey through time, which is reflected in the use of different materials, from stoneware, clay,
glass and metal.
