Design Note: The WASHLET™ RG comes with side connections as standard. To completely hide the water and power connections inside the ceramic bowl (for a streamlined look), the optional Hidden Connection Set (TCA567) is required.

Practical, refined and worth planning properly review by Daniel on 4/30/2026I installed this model in my own home after fitting a few TOTO units for clients. I chose the close-coupled RG with hidden connections because I wanted something easier to integrate than a full concealed-frame system, but still clean enough visually for a renovated bathroom.
From an installer’s point of view, planning is important. You still need to think properly about the water feed, electrical supply and positioning. If you treat it like a standard close-coupled toilet and only think about the WASHLET at the end, you may not get the best result. With the hidden connection version, the finished look is much better, but it is worth making sure the installer understands what is required before starting.
In daily use, the product is excellent. The spray is adjustable enough for different users, the water is warm without waiting, and the self-cleaning wand gives more confidence than cheaper bidet seats I have seen. The PREMIST and EWATER+ functions are difficult to judge visibly day to day, but the toilet stays cleaner than our old one and feels more hygienic overall.
It is not as dramatic as the top TOTO RW with automatic opening and flushing, but I actually like that. It gives you the main comfort and hygiene benefits without feeling over-engineered. For a UK home where a wall-hung system is not practical, I think this is one of the strongest options.
