Duravit SensoWash® Descaling Pump Kit
— Replacement Set 1007150000
The Duravit SensoWash® Descaling Pump Kit 1007150000 is a reusable maintenance set for introducing descaling solution directly into the internal water circuit of a shower toilet or bidet seat. It reaches the narrow waterways, heater circuit and spray system that ordinary surface cleaning cannot access.
The process is simple and controlled. The normal water-supply hose is disconnected from the unit and replaced temporarily by the pump hose. The supplied descaling tablet is dissolved in cold tap water inside the reservoir, the reservoir is pressurised by hand, and the supplied gel pad activates the seat sensor. Running the rear and front wash functions then draws the solution through the relevant internal channels.
Correct descaling helps prevent mineral deposits from restricting water flow, weakening the spray pattern or reducing heating efficiency. It can also restore performance where limescale is the cause of the problem, while regular preventive use helps protect the appliance before symptoms appear.
The pump uses a standard ½″ threaded connection, making it suitable not only for the Duravit SensoWash models for which it was developed, but also for many other shower toilets and bidet seats that use the same inlet size. Always confirm the connection and the appliance manufacturer’s maintenance guidance before use.
Descale the internal wash system — not merely the visible nozzle
Limescale forms wherever water repeatedly passes, heats or evaporates. In a shower toilet, the most important deposits are usually hidden inside the appliance, where they can narrow waterways and affect the consistency of the spray. This kit replaces the normal mains-water feed temporarily with a controlled, pressurised descaling solution. By operating both wash functions for the required contact time, the solution is drawn through the channels that actually need treatment, followed by a thorough clean-water rinse.

Why Regular Descaling Matters
A shower toilet contains narrow water passages, valves, a spray system and, on heated models, a water-heating circuit. Mineral deposits can form throughout this internal route. Cleaning the ceramic, seat and exposed nozzle is important for hygiene, but it does not remove scale from the concealed water circuit.
As deposits build, users may notice a weaker spray, uneven nozzle output, longer heating times or reduced temperature stability. Descaling treats the hidden cause by passing an appropriate solution through the same route used during normal washing.
Preventive maintenance is preferable: a scheduled descaling cycle is easier and safer than waiting until scale has already restricted the appliance’s performance.
The pump reservoir is filled with cold tap water and the supplied tablet is dissolved inside it. After the hose is attached to the appliance inlet, the reservoir is pumped by hand to create pressure. The gel pad then activates the seat sensor so that the rear and front wash functions can operate normally.
Running each wash function for at least ten minutes draws the prepared solution through its corresponding internal channel. If the appliance stops automatically before the required time has elapsed, restart the function as often as necessary to reach the full treatment time.
- Rear wash treatment: at least 10 minutes in total
- Front wash / lady wash treatment: at least 10 minutes in total
- Re-pressurise the pump reservoir if the pressure falls during the procedure
- Allow all discharged liquid to drain safely into the WC bowl
Descaling is not complete when the treatment solution has passed through the unit. The pump must be disconnected, the original water-supply hose reattached and the mains-water supply restored. Both wash circuits must then be flushed thoroughly to remove dissolved mineral residue and any remaining descaling solution.
Use the appliance’s hot-water setting and run the rear wash for five minutes in total, followed by the front wash / lady wash for five minutes in total. Restart automatic wash cycles as needed until the complete rinse time has been achieved.
Do not shorten the rinse: the final clean-water flush is an essential part of the process, not an optional finishing step.
The reservoir, manual pump, hose and sensor pad are retained for future maintenance. For subsequent descaling cycles, use the correct original or approved replacement tablet and repeat the same procedure at the interval appropriate for the local water hardness.
This makes the kit a practical long-term service tool for homeowners, installers and maintenance teams responsible for shower toilets that require manual inlet descaling.
- Reusable reservoir and pressure pump
- Reusable connection hose and gel sensor pad
- Only the descaling tablet needs replacing for later cycles
- Suitable for planned preventive maintenance
This is an original Duravit maintenance set designed for controlled servicing of compatible SensoWash products. The correct reservoir, hose connection, sensor pad and descaling agent provide a defined procedure without improvised pumps, household chemicals or unsuitable adapters.
Use only the supplied tablet or the correct approved replacement. Vinegar, aggressive household limescale removers and incorrectly concentrated acids may damage seals, valves, heaters or internal surfaces and should not be introduced into the appliance.
How Descaling Works — Step by Step
Turn off the water supply
Close the shut-off valve supplying the shower toilet or bidet seat. Confirm that the water supply is fully isolated before loosening any hose connection.
Disconnect the existing water-supply hose
Unscrew the normal supply hose from the water inlet on the shower toilet or bidet seat. Keep the original seal and hose clean and ready for reconnection after descaling.
Prepare the descaling solution
Fill the pump reservoir with cold tap water and add the supplied descaling tablet. Allow the tablet to dissolve completely before connecting or pressurising the pump.
Connect the pump hose
Screw the pump hose securely onto the appliance water inlet in place of the original supply hose. Check that the connection is correctly seated and watertight.
Build pressure manually
Pump the reservoir several times by hand, in the same manner as a garden pressure sprayer, until sufficient pressure has built up. Re-pressurise during the procedure if necessary.
Activate the seat sensor
Place the supplied gel pad on the front section of the seat so that the occupied-seat sensor is activated and the wash functions can operate.
Run the rear wash for at least 10 minutes
Press the Rear Wash button and allow the descaling solution to pass through the rear-wash circuit for a minimum total of 10 minutes. If the wash cycle stops automatically, restart it until the full time has been reached.
Run the front wash for at least 10 minutes
Press the Front Wash / Lady Wash button and treat this circuit for a minimum total of 10 minutes. Restart the function as required and maintain pressure in the reservoir.
Reconnect the original water supply
When both descaling treatments are complete, disconnect the pump hose, reconnect the appliance’s original water-supply hose and turn the water supply back on. Check carefully for leaks.
Flush both circuits with clean hot water
Select the appliance’s hot-water setting. Run the rear wash with clean mains water for a total of 5 minutes, followed by the front wash / lady wash for a total of 5 minutes. Restart the functions as necessary to complete the full rinse time.
Follow the instructions supplied with the kit and the safety guidance for the specific shower toilet or bidet seat. The appliance must remain able to operate its wash functions during treatment. Do not open the pump reservoir or loosen a hose while it is pressurised.
Recommended Descaling Cycle by Water Hardness
Use the hardness of the water actually supplied to the appliance. Your local water supplier can normally provide the value in degrees German hardness (°dH) or millimoles per litre (mmol/l).
| Water Classification | Water Hardness | Descaling Cycle |
|---|---|---|
| Soft | Below 8.4° dH Below 1.5 mmol/l |
Every 6 months |
| Moderately hard | 8.4–14° dH 1.5–2.5 mmol/l |
Every 6 months |
| Hard | Above 14° dH Above 2.5 mmol/l |
Every 3 months (quarterly) |
Descale sooner if the appliance displays a maintenance warning or if spray performance, water flow or heating consistency begins to decline. Where a water softener is installed, base the interval on the measured hardness after treatment.

Important Safety & Usage Guidance
Read the supplied instructions before beginning and keep the appliance-specific manual available. Work carefully around water connections and electrical components.
- Turn off the water supply completely before disconnecting the original inlet hose.
- Use cold tap water to dissolve the tablet in the pump reservoir. Do not prepare the descaling solution with hot water.
- Use only the supplied or approved descaling tablet. Do not substitute vinegar, bleach, drain cleaner or a general household acid descaler.
- Never open the reservoir or loosen a hose while pressurised. Release pressure safely in accordance with the kit instructions before making adjustments.
- Keep all electrical connections dry and do not use the appliance if the cable, plug, socket or electronic housing is wet or damaged.
- Keep hands clear of the nozzle and spray path while the wash functions are operating. Allow the discharged solution to drain into the WC bowl.
- Complete the full clean-water rinse after reconnecting the normal supply: 5 minutes rear wash and 5 minutes front wash on the hot-water setting.
- Check for leaks after reconnecting the original hose and before returning the appliance to normal use.
Frequently Asked Questions
It is a genuine Duravit manual descaling set for compatible SensoWash shower toilets. The pressurised reservoir temporarily replaces the normal water supply and feeds prepared descaling solution into the appliance while the rear and front wash functions are operated.
Turn off the water, disconnect the original supply hose and connect the pump hose. Dissolve the supplied tablet in cold tap water inside the reservoir, pump several times to build pressure and place the gel pad on the front of the seat to activate the sensor. Run Rear Wash for at least 10 minutes, followed by Front Wash / Lady Wash for at least 10 minutes. Reconnect the normal water supply and rinse each wash function for 5 minutes using the hot-water setting.
Many shower toilets stop a wash cycle automatically after a short period. Restart the same wash function as often as required until it has operated for at least 10 minutes in total. Maintain pressure in the reservoir throughout the treatment.
Most electric shower toilets prevent the wash functions from operating unless the seat sensor detects a user. Placing the supplied gel pad on the front area of the seat activates that sensor so the rear and front wash circuits can be run during descaling.
Yes. The supplied tablet is dissolved completely in cold tap water inside the pump reservoir for the initial descaling cycle. For later cycles, use only the correct original or approved replacement tablet.
It may fit models that have a compatible ½″ water inlet, an accessible hose connection and wash functions that can be activated manually. Compatibility should still be confirmed before use because some appliances have automatic descaling systems, dedicated filling ports or manufacturer-specific procedures.
For soft water below 8.4° dH (below 1.5 mmol/l), descale every six months. For moderately hard water from 8.4 to 14° dH (1.5 to 2.5 mmol/l), also descale every six months. For hard water above 14° dH (above 2.5 mmol/l), descale every three months.
The two functions may use separate internal channels or different nozzle outlets. Running only one function may leave part of the water circuit untreated. Each function should therefore operate with descaling solution for at least 10 minutes and then be flushed with clean water for 5 minutes.
No. Use only the supplied tablet or the correct original or approved replacement. Household acids and general-purpose descalers may have an unsuitable concentration or formulation and can damage seals, valves, heaters or other internal components.
No. Descaling can improve performance when mineral deposits are restricting the water circuit or affecting heat transfer. It will not repair a defective valve, pump, heater, sensor, control board or blocked external filter. If performance remains poor after a correct descaling and rinse cycle, the appliance should be diagnosed separately.
