Japanese E-Bidet Company Partners with GP Pro to Win U.S. Market

7/20/2019

Toto has been in the business of bathroom instruments since the ’80s. The flagship products of Toto are the S500e and S500e Washlet electric bidets. The company brands these washing machines for backsides as tools of a new, quieter, more economical and hygienic toilet culture.

Take attention because this achievement of mankind can save marriages. The customizable Washlet e-bidets are quieter and use less water than regular toilets or bidets. The lid automatically opens and closes. The antimicrobal seat is heated, and there is night courtesy light on the bottom side of the lavatory. The system/the sensors can size up the droppings inside the bowl and apply flushing accordingly. The cleaning and drying functions can set/taught by a remote control, not unlike as for a washing machine.

Toto has become household name in Japan, China and Southeast Asia in the recent years, but it stills needs a breakthrough in North American and European markets. Buyers from the U.S. have been mostly hotels and cultural centers this far.

The company wants to triple its sales to 185 million in the U.S. in four years. To achieve that, Toto found Georgia-Pacific Professional (GP Pro), a well-established nationwide supplier of disposable bathroom necessities like toilet paper and liquid soaps. GP Pro and Toto will market the Washlet e-bidets together.

The cooperation of the two companies extend to developing entire ’smart’ bathroom sets, toilets, facets, showers, etc. A smart bathroom with the Japanese sensors and GP Pro’s system can detect and warn of dirt, when necessities are dwindling, monitor and optimize water use, and can convey such data to cleaning personnel.
